What is the difference between a chronograph and a chronometer?
A chronograph has hands displaying hours, minutes, and seconds, and is equipped with a mechanical device for measuring elapsed time, which can be shown by the central chronograph second hand, capable of recording time down to the second, and often includes minute and hour accumulation (not mandatory).
A chronometer is a watch whose movement has successfully passed the COSC (Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute) precision tests at different angles and temperatures, earning a certification issued by the institute. These tests take at least 15 days.

Other Common Questions
What is the error margin for other mechanical watches?
"Most mechanical watches that are not certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute have an average error between -1 and +11 seconds per day. The accuracy of a mechanical movement depends on the wearer's habits and may vary. A certified watchmaker can adjust the watch's error to meet the standard."
